Together with other UK-based partners, Fauna & Flora have a number of key asks of the new UK government on international nature commitments. These are grouped under four areas of action.

Despite the ever more clear climate and nature emergency, the UK’s leadership role on these global issues has faded in recent years; we need to change this and step up our ambition. The interdependence of people, particularly the poorest communities, and nature is well documented – but also so is the importance of locally-led action to halt and reverse nature loss.

The next five years will be critical to making progress. This group of UK-based organisations, who work internationally, stand ready to support that.
