Congratulations to His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen

News

Fauna & Flora sends sincere congratulations to His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen on the historic occasion of their coronation.

HM King Charles III’s son, HRH The Prince of Wales, is our current patron, continuing a long line of Royal patrons stretching back beyond the reign of his great-grandfather, King George VI.

When Queen Elizabeth II succeeded King George VI in 1952, she inherited her father’s role as Patron of Fauna & Flora, a position that she held throughout most of her long and distinguished reign.

Mark Rose, CEO of Fauna & Flora, said: “We send our best wishes to His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen on this auspicious occasion. The Royal Family has been, and continues to be, very supportive towards Fauna & Flora’s vital work. His Majesty The King, much like HRH The Prince of Wales, our current patron, is a tremendous ambassador for conservation. I have very fond memories of our discussions during a visit that King Charles paid to one of Fauna & Flora’s project sites in Romania as The Prince of Wales. It was enlightening to discover that His Majesty shared many of our views on the future of the planet and how to address the many threats to nature.”
