Illegal Wildlife Trade (IWT) is a global industry worth up to £17 billion per year. Reported to be the fourth largest global illegal trade after narcotics, humans, and counterfeit products, the exponential increase in demand for wildlife products has created a market lucrative enough to attract international criminal networks.
The IWT Conference takes place again in London this October to discuss the wholesale assault on wildlife and the threats of extinction facing many species around the world. FFI has been at the forefront of efforts to tackle illegal wildlife trade for almost two decades, and will be taking part in the IWT conference to further explore what part conservation organisations can play in combatting this illicit industry.
Our exclusive Conservation Circle Dinner will feature a special presentation focused on updates from the IWT Conference and details on the effective measures FFI and its partners have put in place to safeguard species from the devastating effects of this unsustainable trade.
Any profit made from this fundraising event will support FFI’s work. Find out more about our work with IWT here.
