Help save pangolins

Please help save pangolins. They are the most trafficked mammal in the world, and unless we act now, they could disappear forever.

Every single day, hundreds of pangolins are ripped from the wild to have their bodies carved up for meat, and their scales are pulverised for mythical medicines. They are plummeting towards extinction.

But there is still time.

If we can act now then their numbers can still stabilise.

That’s why we’re asking for donation today that could help keep them safe. FFI’s teams need funding for activities including all of the below:

  • Implementing bespoke pangolin monitoring, including eDNAtechnology.
  • Piloting pangolin tagging, including of rehabilitated pangolins.
  • Implement successful rescue, rehabilitation and release strategies for trade-captured pangolins.
  • Developing evidence-based crime prevention strategies that address gaps in current responses and focus resources on most effective and cost-efficient interventions.
  • Enabling community-level responses to tackle illegal wildlife trade.
  • Build effective, collaborative national and international law enforcement and prevention responses to pangolin poaching and trafficking.
  • Develop understanding of consumer demand and markets in-country to create targeted demand reduction strategies.

If everyone reading this donates, and enables those things to happen it will protect countless pangolins from slaughter. Please, make a donation today and help save pangolins. Every penny goes directly to this project.

Who are FFI?

Fauna & Flora International (FFI) is the world’s oldest conservation charity. Over the last 100 years, we have literally saved species from extinction and even – with the help of our vice-president, Sir David Attenborough – helped bring mountain gorillas back from the brink. We work to protect plants and animals around the globe, and spend 94% of our income on charitable activities.

Thank you.
