Finance & Administration Manager, Cabo Verde

  • Salary: EUR 22,263 per annum
  • Contract period: Permanent

Fauna & Flora are seeking an experienced Finance & Administration Manager to provide guidance and oversight on financial and administrative matters to the Cabo Verde programme, ensuring that all related matters in-country run smoothly, conforming with national legislation, donor requirements, Fauna & Flora policies and procedures and international best practice. With a substantial proven track record in financial management at a senior level, with strong accounting, budgeting and financial reporting skills, and experience for the administrative functions of HR, ICT and administration of an organisation in Cabo Verde.

The successful candidate will have a strong proven track record in financial management and administration and will have experience in providing country-level oversight and leadership of both the day-to-day finances and administration, including management of multiple grants. Be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of relevant Cabo Verdean legislation and keep abreast of any changes in legislation that may affect the organisation, and policies applicable to the running of international NGOs in the country, including on taxation and financial auditing. You will be extremely competent numerically and have a relevant degree in finance, accounting or a related field is required.

You should have excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills, as well as a structured and methodical approach to work. You will be a motivated team player, but also be able to work independently. The role also requires a skilled and credible communicator, who is confident in developing and managing relationships internally, and externally with partner organisations and relevant stakeholders, including donors and funders.
