Vote for FFI in Microsoft’s DesignIT competition!

08/04/2008

FFI has the chance to win an exciting high-tech communications project worth £15,000 through Microsoft's DesignIT competition. Over the last three months Microsoft has invited IT professionals to submit their designs for computer systems that demonstrate creativity as well as tackling real social, human interest problems experienced by charities. The design projects must benefit either FFI, Leonard Cheshire Disability, Global Action Plan, or NSPCC.

The project wil turn a map of the world into an invaluable communications tool.FFI asked competitors to design a system that would help us communicate interesting news and issues from our partners in over 40 countries where we work. One of the five finalists has designed a fantastic interactive map that features clickable blogs from our projects around the world. Click here or on the map above to view the schematic of the project.

The DesignIT 2008 voting page has now gone live and will remain open until 5pm on Friday 11th April.

Please vote for the "EcoSpaces" project here:

All five entries will be displayed at the DesignIT exhibition to be held at The Music Room, London 12th June 2008. If you would like to visit the DesignIT exhibition or you have any comments or feedback about the competition, please email designit@microsoft.com.

Thank you!
