Cecilia Repinski

Director of the Natural Value Initiative Natural Value Initiative

Cecilia Repinski is the Director of the Natural Value Initiative (NVI). Cecilia has a long track record of engaging financial institutions around natural capital. At the World Resources Institute (WRI) in Washington, DC Cecilia demonstrated how the Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) could achieve their development goals more effectively by mainstreaming considerations to biodiversity and ecosystem services in their project financing. In addition to the MDBs, Cecilia has also worked with Equator Principle Banks, institutional investors such as the Swedish AP Funds, and asset managers. At GES Investment Services, a rating agency, Cecilia created a water risk rating methodology as a means by which to stimulate improved water management in the private sector. In 2011 Cecilia founded Gaia Values, a Swedish charity, set up to support a mind shift in how the private sector perceive and manage natural assets.
